Hiring Research Assistants
The Becoming a young farmer research funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Canada (SSHRC) is looking for research assistants to undertake interviews with young farmers in and around Guelph. Data collection with young farmers and other stakeholders will take place between September and December 2017. Data collection involves a short survey and in-depth interviews in English. The RA(s) will conduct the interviews, transcribe them, and create short summaries of each interview.
We are looking for two RAs with training or experience in agrarian issues, conducting interviews and undertaking transcription, ideally a graduate student or an advanced undergraduate student. The job will involve driving to meet farmers in and around Guelph. Remuneration will be $30 per hour plus benefits.
