2022-2023 Report Highlights:

Employees: The Division employed 300+ full-time staff, 100+ part-time staff, and 700+ student staff positions.

Campus Safety Initiatives: An impressive allocation of $542,166.47 has been invested in campus safety and security initiatives from 2020 until 2024.

Athletic Financial Awards: To support the dreams of student-athletes, Athletics provided $702,000 in Athletic Financial Awards, easing the burden of tuition costs.

Varsity Teams: Athletics proudly offered 832 student-athletes opportunities to participate in over 38 varsity teams.

Intramural Engagement: Managing a diverse community, Athletics oversaw 10,364 students participate in over 983 different intramural teams.

Early Learning Excellence: The Child Care & Learning Centre is renowned across Ontario as a gold standard in early learning, which resulted in an extensive waitlist of over 500 children.

Sustainability Milestone: Through its fully plant-based menu, the Child Care & Learning Centre significantly reduced its carbon footprint by over 65%.

Service Milestone: The Experiential Learning Hub entered into its 41st year of delivering co-op education having facilitated over 41,000 co-op work terms.

Program Growth: The University of Guelph now has the fourth largest co-operative education program in Ontario, with over 5,000 participating students from 67 programs. For reference, in 1982 the Experiential Learning Hub had 22 students from 10 programs participate in co-op work terms.

Co-operative Education Programs: The Experiential Learning Hub's impressive array of 67 co-op programs, resulted in 3,031 co-op work terms that provided valuable real-world experience to students.

Global Collaboration: With a broad international reach, the Experiential Learning Hub collaborates with 4,200 active employer organizations in over 30 countries.

Student Job Opportunities: The Experiential Learning Hub manages a vast job market, and offered 13,418 job postings to students, and received 49,362 job applications submitted by students.

Orientation Week Support: Orientation Week paved the way for a smooth transition to campus life, offering students 232 events and 560 hours of programming.

Welcoming Atmosphere: According to the First Year Student Survey, an overwhelming 85% of new students felt warmly welcomed at U of G.

Health Services Reach: Health Services in Student Wellness, provided much-needed support to 14,743 students during the academic year.

Counselling Services Impact: Counselling Services, within Student Wellness, has played a vital role in supporting 2,194 students.

Health & Performance Centre: Student Wellness's Health & Performance Centre catered to the well-being of 1,645 students and staff, ensuring their overall health and well-being.

Student Accessibility Services: Demonstrating inclusivity, Student Accessibility Services, a unit within Student Wellness, provided service to 3,541 students.

Residence Life Capacity: To accommodate students, Residence Life, within Student Housing, increased room density and creatively utilized a portion of a local hotel, housing 5,100 students.

Supportive Residence Life Staff: A team of 175 Residence Life Staff members provided essential support to students living on campus.
