Student shine participant "Since day one, my gryphons nest community has been working to create a welcoming environment where people can meet and connect. Thanks to weekly organized activities and group discussions, i've gotten so much closer to my peers around me. To me, my gryphons nest community is a place where i can sit back, talk to my friends, and have a good time." Sunny khera shine facilitator "it may feel like it is especially intimidating to join clubs or teams this year since school is mostly online. However, i have learned that the best way to get over that hurdle is by putting yourself out there. I found it really beneficial to expose myself to uncomfortable situations because i was able to grow as a person and gain confidence in my ability to reach out to others! Joining online communities this year has not only been a fun experience, but it has also helped me build a larger support system." Student shine participant "my online mentor is really amazing and nice. Whenever i’m on a call with her, she seems like just a friend that i can reach out too and talk about whatever too."
