Welcome Commuter Students!
Welcome to the commuter resource page! My name is Katie McLean and I am the Coordinator, Commuter Experience and Rental Living. I am always working on creative ways to improve student success and help our off-campus students feel welcome and supported. I offer one-on-one or group advising for commuters to assist in finding community and developing your connections and sense of belonging on campus. In addition to the work that I do, I also supervise two Peer Helper teams in Off-Campus Living who run events and workshops for commuter students and provide one-on-one rental and tenant advising. If you have questions or suggestions, or would like to book an online appointment, contact me at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our Commuter Engagement Peer Helper Team is here to help commuter students feel more engaged and find a sense of belonging on campus through events and activities that they coordinator just for commuters. Find out more about commuter student programming and events on GryphLife.

Commuter Student Residence
Every year, as rooms in residence become available, Student Housing Services opens up a Commuter Student Residence for short-term stays. You'll typically see this service become available after Thanksgiving. Private rooms include internet access, bed linens, and more. This is a perfect option for commuters after a long evening of group work on campus. For more information visit http://housing.uoguelph.ca/current-residents/commuter-student-residence.
Guelph Transit Bus Pass for UofG students
You’ll likely want a bus pass to help you get around town. In Guelph, your bus pass is carried on an “On Your Way” card. This is a pre-loadable card, that can be loaded with individual trips or a monthly pass. You can pick-up your On Your Way card (the type of card you want is the “post-secondary” one) at a number of convenience stores around Guelph. Find out which location is nearest you here: Where to buy bus fare and OnYourWay fare card - City of Guelph . Once you have your card, you can re-load it online. If you’re living off-campus in Guelph, make sure to check the bus routes nearby so that you’ll be able to make it to your classes and other commitments easily. You can find bus schedules, where to load your On Your Way card, and trip planning resources here Guelph Transit - City of Guelph.
