The Global Pre-Arrival Support Advisor (GPS advisor) acts as the central point of contact for new undergraduate international students from the point of offer through to semester one. The GPS Advisor helps students navigate each step of the process from acceptance, to study permit application, to registration and beyond.
Here are some of the ways the GPS Advisor can assist:
- Housing
- Financial Planning
- Course Registration
- Health Insurance
- Arriving in Canada
Immigration Related:
- Initial study permit application
- Co-op Work Permit
- Temporary Resident visa (TRV) / Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

I am here to help you navigate your way from the moment you receive your offer of admission to the University of Guelph until you are settled in your first year. This includes but is not limited to the initial study permit application consultation, other immigration related consultation, course registration, housing, financial planning, culture adjustment.
