Scholarship Information (External): Fulbright Fellowships

The Canada-U.S. Fulbright Program is a bi-national program supported by the Government of Canada, the Government of the United States and a large number of public and private sector partners. Its mandate is to enhance mutual understanding between the people of Canada and the people of the United States by providing support to outstanding graduate students, faculty, professionals and independent researchers. The program includes formal enrolment, research and independent research awards.

The program is based on the principle of reciprocal exchange and provides a funded opportunity for outstanding Canadian students to study and/or conduct research in the United States. Awards are considered for Canadian citizens who are graduate students, prospective graduate students, or junior professionals. Traditional Fulbright student awards offer US$15,000 for one nine-month academic year that can be pursued at any college, university, think tank, or government agency in the United States.

Applications normally become available on/about 15 May each year and are normally due on/about 15 November each year.
