The Associate Vice-President Academic (AVPA) is responsible for the content and administration of all undergraduate programs. This includes the launching of new programs, as well as overseeing existing programs.
The Division of Student Affairs is comprised of six different units that report to the Office of Vice-Provost (Student Affairs) which provide essential services to students, staff, faculty, and community members. The Division is committed to helping each student develop as a person, scholar, and citizen.
The Office of the Chief Information Officer oversees the strategic and policy administration of the University’s information technology, services, and resources. This includes information security, network access and infrastructure, enterprise applications, and client support. All IT services on campus adhere to a strong service culture to enable excellence in teaching, learning and research.
The Office of Graduate Studies is dedicated to service excellence in all of its activities. Graduate study at the University of Guelph is supported by internationally renowned faculty who are engaged in cutting-edge research and practice.
Faculty and Academic Staff Relations provides strategic human resources consulting and capacity building services (related to UGFA and CUPE 3913, Faculty, Librarians, Veterinarians, GTAs, GSA-1s, UTAs and Sessional Lecturers) to chairs, directors, deans, faculty, managers, administrative/executive assistants, and other academic administrators.
The Office of Institutional Analysis and Research is located on the 3rd floor UC (enter through room 349). Our staff serve as advisers and consultants on policy and planning decisions, particularly on questions of quantitative analysis.
The University Librarian leads the library’s overall strategy and advances the organization’s engagement with the University’s academic and research pursuits. The Office of the University Librarian is located on the third floor of McLaughlin Library.
The Office of Registrarial Services support students and colleagues in recruitment, admissions, financial aid, billing, scheduling, academic records, registration and graduation. The Office provides leadership in the areas of strategic enrolment management, student information systems, student service support and academic policy.
