Café Scientifique Guelph
Welcome to the 2009-2010 season of Café Scientifique. The series is brought to you by the newly formed School of Environmental Sciences (http://www.ses.uoguelph.ca). We wish to thank Prof. Joe Ackerman for his work on establishing this series at the University of Guelph.
This year's theme is "Human Dimensions of the Environment". Humans are entwined with environmental issues. From population health to ecotourism to biofuels, our approach to understanding the environment is driven by human endeavour. The School of Environmental Sciences seeks to bring environmental issues, and the forefront of scientific research around them, to the general public -- accessible to all.
We've moved to a new venue, the beautiful Diana Downtown restaurant located in downtown Guelph, this season. Please come out and enjoy lively, informed conversation along with your favourite beverage. The samosas and pakoras are on us.
