Research

Genetic and molecular studies of the role of oxygen radical metabolism in disease and aging. Identification and molecular characterization of genes specifying oxygen radical defense functions. Generation of mutant and transgenic models of disease and aging in mice and Drosophila. Application of gene transfer biotechnology to overcome environmental and nutritional problems in animal agriculture. Development of the Enviropig™.
