"Mardi Gras" for Hurricane Katrina Relief

U of G's Student Life office is hosting "Mardi Gras" to raise money and awareness for Hurricane Katrina disaster relief efforts.

On Sept. 13, students, staff, faculty and visitors can buy pancakes for a nominal donation in Branion Plaza from 9 to 11:30 a.m. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross. Additional donations will also be collected all week through Red Cross boxes located at all residence desks and the University Centre Information Desk, located on the first floor. Funds will be sent to help the millions of victims from the Gulf coast suffering from the storm's devastation.

For more information, call Christine Victorino, Coordinator, Citizenship and Community Engagement at 824-4120, Ext. 52782.
