Prospective Students Invited to U of G's Campus Days

The University of Guelph expects to welcome up to 3,000 prospective undergraduate students and their family members to Campus Days March 16 and 17.

Campus Days activities will include a student panel, academic information sessions, resource displays and campus walking tours. Hundreds of U of G faculty, staff and student volunteers will be on hand to talk about all facets of university life, ranging from academic programs to campus services and organizations.

"This event is one of our most important on-campus recruitment efforts, said Ray Darling, associate registrar. “It falls during March break at a time when high school students are really starting to get serious about deciding which university they’ll attend in September. It’s an excellent opportunity for U of G to showcase its campus and people, two of our strongest selling points in attracting new students."

Students who have applied to or are interested in the bachelor of applied science, bachelor of arts, bachelor of commerce or the bachelor of landscape architecture are invited to attend on March 16.

Students who have applied to or are interested in the bachelor of arts and sciences, bachelor of bio-resource management, bachelor of computing, bachelor of science, bachelor of science in agriculture, bachelor of science in engineering, bachelor of science in environmental sciences, bachelor of science in technology, or the associate diploma in turfgrass management are invited to attend on March 17.

All participants are encouraged to RSVP. Full-day programs begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Main Gym of the W.F Mitchell Athletics Centre. Parking lots P14 and P15 will be reserved for Campus Days visitors. Members of the campus community are encouraged to park in P13, P18 and P19.

For more information, call Nicole McKenzie at Ext. 56056 or visit the Campus Days website.
