U of G Participating in Commuter Challenge

Students, staff and faculty at U of G are encouraged to get active and consider using alternative ways to get to school and work as part of this year's Commuter Challenge, a nationwide, week-long event that runs during National Environment Week June 4 to 10.

"The Commuter Challenge is a great opportunity to try something new and break away from motorized vehicle-dependency," says Gillian Maurice, U of G's sustainability co-ordinator.

Register online and pledge to try to bike, walk, bus, carpool or telework during the week, and track the number of kilometres you travel, or avoid travelling.

U of G community members who register under the U of G designation will be eligible to win prizes.

For more information contact Maurice at (519) 824-4120, Ext. 58129 or by e-mail, sustain@pr.uoguelph.ca.
