Nominees sought for T.R. Hillard award

Nominees for the 1999 T.R. Hillard Distinguished Agricultural Extension Award are being sought by the Ontario Agricultural College Alumni Foundation.
The annual award recognizes people who have made an outstanding contribution to agricultural extension in Ontario.

Nominations must be submitted by February 28 to the OAC Alumni Foundation, c/o Dean R. J. McLaughlin, University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario N1G 2W1.
The competition is open to Ontario residents who are engaged in agricultural extension work by government, private industry and agricultural organizations or the University of Guelph. It is also open to producers or other people who have made an outstanding contribution to agricultural extension.

The winner is chosen by a selected committee comprising the OAC dean, deputy minister of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food, presidents of the Ontario institute of Agrologists, Junior Farmers' Association of Ontario and OAC Alumni Association, the chair of the OAC Alumni Foundation and a representative of the Canadian Society of Extension. The award will be made by May 1.

Each nomination should outline the basis of the recommendation and include the signatures of two people familiar with the nominee's extension work.
