Sept. 11 community peace vigil planned

The Guelph Peace Community and the University of Guelph’s Multi-Faith Resource Team will stage a Community Vigil for Peace Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. in War Memorial Hall.

The event will be preceded by a period of drumming and singing. Representatives of different faiths and traditions will then provide a symbolic gesture of peacemaking in the community that will include offerings of bread and prayers. The vigil will also include musical performances, remarks by the University’s Multi-Faith Resource Team and others, readings and a moment of silence.
