University monitoring health situation

The University has been notified that a family member of a U of G student is being monitored as a suspected case of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The student, who is now at home in Toronto, is not sick and is not presenting any signs or symptoms of any respiratory problems.

The University is working with public health to monitor the situation and will take measures as advised by public health.

Members of the University community who have questions may contact either Student Health Services at Ext. 54333, or in the case of faculty and staff, Occupational Health Services at Ext. 52133.
