Safety advisory

City of Guelph police have issued a news release regarding a sexual assault that occurred at 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning in downtown Guelph.

Guelph police say it is unknown whether the incident is related to other assaults that have occurred in the city. The University Police have issued a campus safety bulletin about the incident, which has been posted around campus and is available online.

Both the Guelph and University police are urging the community to be vigilant in ensuring their safety and to follow suggested safety tips.
