Programs to feature U of G lecture, prof

A talk that was part of U of G’s Hammond Lecture Series on environment, energy and resources will be broadcast on the CBC-Radio program Ideas Friday at 9:05 p.m.

The lecture, “Waking the Sleepwalkers,” by William Rees, a University of British Columbia professor and past-president of the Canadian Society for Ecological Economics, looks at the issue of globalization and sustainability. Rees is also speaking at an agricultural biotechnology conference at U of G June 14.

May 11, U of G family relations professor Kerry Daly will be a guest on the TVOntario program, More to Life, hosted by Mary Ito. The segment will focus on "The New Dad," and Daly will discuss the changing role of fathers and balancing work and family life. The program will air live at 1 p.m.
