U of G study to examine benefits of soy

The University of Guelph's Department of Human Biology and Nutritional Sciences is looking for healthy, young men between the ages of 20 and 40 to participate in a nutrition study on the effects of soy consumption on hormone levels.

The study will involve three, eight-week diet periods, separated by four-week washout periods. Orientations and a short pre-study visit will be held mid-to-late April. The first day of the study will be in late April or early May, and the study will run until mid-December.

Participants will be required to attend a study orientation, consume a soy or milk protein powder supplement, collect 24-hour urine samples, give blood and semen samples and complete food diaries.
