Street and parking lot to close for services installation

The University of Guelph is undertaking site preparation on land off of Gordon Street for the fall start of construction on the Science Complex. As such, Gordon Street will be closed at College Avenue and Stone Road from Monday, July 22 to Wednesday, July 24, with only local access available. Among the services to be installed are new hydro, communications and water lines.

U of G faculty, staff and students are encouraged to use alternative routes to campus, primarily through Stone Road and College Avenue. Bus service on Gordon Street will be re-routed as follows: Routes #S1 and #S2 will detour Gordon St. via South Ring Rd., East Ring Rd. and College Ave.

Parking Lot P2 will also be closed from July 22 to July 26, to enable the expansion of miscellaneous service lines on the site. Only deliveries will be allowed access to P2 and surrounding buildings. All pre-paid parking lot users will be assigned a new parking area and visitors are to park at P31 or P44.

For questions regarding the closures, contact Lilia Sapounzi, Physical Resources, Ext. 2966.
