U of G hosts Science and Engineering Night

The University of Guelph is hosting its annual Science and Engineering Night Nov. 11 from 6 to 9 p.m., to help high school students, parents and teachers learn more about the university's engineering and science programs.

Participants will have an the opportunity to meet with faculty, students and working professionals to discuss studies and careers in a variety of science and engineering areas, and to participate in information sessions and interactive displays.

Campus tours are available at 5 p.m. in the University Centre, and registration for the evening starts at 6 p.m. A general welcome session begins at 6:30 p.m. in Peter Clark Hall, with information sessions, displays and lab tours running until 9 p.m.

Admission requirements, co-operative education opportunities, campus activities and job prospects will be covered in the information sessions. Participants will also learn about research activities at the university and will tour the research facilities.
