Safety advisory

The City of Guelph police have introduced the Project River task force to investigate cases of assault and indecent exposure in the city, including near the University of Guelph.

The University has issued campus safety bulletins about the incidents, which have have been posted around campus and are available online.

The University is urging students and all members of the community to be aware of the situation and to follow the safety tips suggested by Campus Police. Please monitor the University Police Web site for updates and additional information.

Anyone with information regarding the recent incidents is asked to call Guelph police at 824-1212 ext. 217, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or University Police at 824-4120, ext. 52000.
