Candidates for Guelph-Humber Vice-Provost to Speak

The Vice-Provost Search Committee for the University of Guelph-Humber had announced the names of four candidates short-listed for the position of Vice-Provost (Chief Academic Officer).

On July 22, each candidate will give a 20-minute public lecture at Guelph-Humber and share their visions for the future of the institution. Each presentation will be followed by a 30-minute question period.

To accommodate members of the U of G community who would like to attend, a shuttle service will depart from the front of the University Centre at 7:45 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m.

Shuttle reservations can be made by contacting Carol Sherman at (519) 824-4120, Ext. 53846, or c.sherman@exec.uoguelph.ca no later than July 20 at 4:45 p.m.

The candidates are:

Pam Hanft, Associate Vice-President, Professional Development and Dean, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning.

Hilary Horan, Professor and Associate Vice-President, Student Affairs, University of Regina.

John McKendry, Vice-President, Douglas College.

John Walsh, Professor, School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Guelph.

The public presentations will be audio-taped; tapes will be available from the Provost's Office, Room 414 University Centre.
