Weekly drop in hours have ended for the semester. They will resume January 16th, 2019. I am still available for appointments Dec 17 & Dec 18 so please call Carie (ext 54800) to book an appointment. Carie is available during our open door hours (Mon-Thurs 10am-3pm, Fri 10am-12pm). Semester start up drop in hours will be posted in the new year.
Final grades will be posted on WebAdvisor on Friday, December 21st (through out the day as they are processed).
Please note that once a grade has been processed in the Office of Registrarial Services that course will no longer display on your “Class Schedule” or on your “Register and Drop Sections” screen on WebAdvisor. This may happen before grades are released.
If you have missed a final exam or a final assignment, please contact the Program Counselling Office (Johnston Hall, 133A or ext. 54800) to discuss your options. You have five working days after the missed exam or final assignment deadline to submit a request for a deferred privilege, so please contact the office as soon as you are able. If you are unable to contact the office due to extreme circumstances, please take care of yourself first and then contact the office.
All graduation applications have been processed. If you were not contacted by me, your application has been moved to "Tentative". This means you have all the correct courses and the right amount of credits; all that is left is for you to successfully complete your current courses and have a 60% cumulative average. Enjoy the rest of the semester and good luck on exams!
WebAdvisor will close on December 3rd. Once re-opened on December 4th, the exam schedule will be posted. When choosing courses as of December 4th, please ensure you are not putting yourself in a conflict (WebAdvisor will not check this for you!).
Weekly drop in hours resume today. My hours are:
Mondays 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Wednesdays 10:00am – 12:00pm
Thursdays 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Fridays 11:00am – 12:00pm
This is when I am available on a first come, first served basis. To see me outside of these hours, please contact Carie by phone (ext. 54800) or in person (Johnston Hall 133A) during our open door hours (Mondays to Thursdays 10:00am-3:00pm and Fridays 10:00am-12:00pm) to book an appointment.
Many courses are doing what is called “rolling enrollment”. This means they are opening spots throughout the course selection period with hopes of giving students with later selection windows equal opportunity to add courses. If a course is full and the cap looks suspiciously low (nothing is capped at 5!), they are likely using the rolling enrollment system.
Many first year courses will be restricted to first year students only. This is to ensure they are able to get their required courses. Restrictions on most first year courses will be removed November 23rd.
Courses affected are listed on the course restriction page.
During the course selection window openings (November 5th to November 14th), I will have increased drop in hours. These times will run the weeks of November 5th and November 12th:
Mondays 10:00am – 2:00pm
Tuesdays 10:00am – 11:00am
Wednesdays 10:00am – 12:30pm & 2:00pm – 3:00pm
Thursdays 10:00am – 12:30pm & 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Fridays 10:00am – 12:00pm
Friday, November 2nd is the 40th Class Day. This is the last day to drop Fall 2018 classes without academic penalty. Please speak with Carie about possible times to meet to discuss this if you need to have a conversation before you drop.
