From the first time I visited U of G I felt at home. I loved the campus, how friendly everyone was, and (of course) the food. I applied to the BSc Agr program because of how close-knit the community was and the rich tradition and history it is steeped in.

Honours agriculture is unique in regard to the course opportunities it provides. It works like a ‘build your own’ type program where students have a wider range of courses they can complete. It is less restricted than the crop science or animal science majors.

The best part of the Honours Ag program is that you learn about both the business and science sides of the agriculture industry. Having many electives allows students to follow their interests. This allowed me to take part in a semester abroad and add a business minor without having to partake in extra years of school or lose the opportunity to take courses I wanted.
