CCSAW Research Symposium

Our popular Annual Research Symposium covers a range of disciplines from animal biosciences and veterinary medicine, to philosophy and psychology, and a range of topics related to animal welfare science, animal ethics and the role of animals in society. It provides a forum for faculty and students to share research results, techniques and ideas, and to foster discussion and collaboration among the many interested individuals and research groups from across campus and other institutions.

The 2021 and 2022 symposia were held online, in a new Three Minute Thesis (3MT) style. You can find the talks from 2021 and 2022 on our YouTube channel.

If you are interested in presenting at next year's symposium, please contact Dr. Derek Haley at You can also join our mailing list by emailing our Director Dr. Georgia Mason at to receive symposium info as it becomes available!
