Having Challenging Conversations While Preserving Connections

This half-day workshop, equips employees with practical strategies and tools to handle challenging conversations with confidence. Using approaches grounded in empathy, effective communication, and relationship-building, participants will learn how to navigate uncomfortable conversations, preserve trust, and maintain positive working relationships. Through hands-on practice and scenarios, you’ll build skills to communicate effectively and respond thoughtfully in any situation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand what makes a conversation difficult, including perceptions, assumptions, and emotions
  • Explore factors that can make conversations stressful, including personal triggers and workplace stressors
  • Practicing strategies for addressing the challenges of difficult conversations in a respectful solution-focused manner
  • Applying a 4-step process for initiating and conducting a difficult conversation
