608 Pay at Death

In addition to any insurance benefits payable to designated beneficiaries, the University will make a final salary payment to the estate of all employees who die while employed by the University, as follows:

  1. the employee earnings from the start of the pay period to the day of death; plus
  2. any earned but unused vacation entitlement.

If the deceased employee used more vacation than earned, the University will not reduce the payment under item 1 above.
