Global Engagement has been an institutional priority at the University of Guelph since as early as 1967 when the Centre for International Programs was first established. Since then this first of its kind program in Canada has gone on to help U of G lead the way in creating opportunities for teaching, learning and collaboration globally. From early partnerships in Ghana, Jamaica and the Netherlands to today’s connections with leading research institutions worldwide, we continue to expand our global reach and impact:

• Over 1,800 International Students from 140+ countries 

• Over 4,200 Co-op Employers in 30+ countries 

• Over 800 U of G Participants in Study Abroad Programs in 28 countries (2024-25)
