Discover Your Future Summer Institute

Make your memories at U of G!

Discover Your Future is an unforgettable summer experience for Canadian and international high school students aged 15 to 17 who want to explore their academic interests, build leadership skills, and experience university life.

Over two action-packed weeks in July or August, you’ll dive into exciting fields from the University of Guelph's eight colleges: including business, agriculture, veterinary science, biological sciences, arts, social sciences, engineering, and agriculture. Through hands-on activities and group projects, you’ll develop leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that will help you stand out in high school, university, and beyond.

Led by University of Guelph instructors and staff, the program gives you a real taste of university learning in a supportive environment. You’ll gain confidence and independence by attending classes, living in residence, working collaboratively with other students, and taking the lead in activities that prepare you for life after high school.

Live on campus, meet friends from around the world, and discover what it’s like to study at a top Canadian university—all while having an amazing summer experience. When you’re not in class, you’ll explore some of Ontario’s most iconic destinations like Niagara Falls and Toronto, relax in scenic parks, and take part in fun on-campus recreational activities. Along the way, you’ll build friendships, grow as a leader, and create memories that will last long after the summer ends.
