Master's student Rosanna Totino investigates how receptive different cell phone users are to ads

How attached are you to your mobile device? What do you use it for? The answers to these questions might tell you just how accepting you are of mobile ads. According to research from MCS grad student Rosanna Totino, people who use their devices for emotional, social or epistemic reasons are more likely to be accepting of unsolicited text ads. People using their devices for specific, functional reasons are less likely to be as welcoming to text ads. Learn more in at Guelph's profile of Rosanna [1].
