Ceremony to recognize contributions to science
A ceremony to acknowledge individuals who gave their bodies to science and contributed to human anatomy classes at the University of Guelph will be held Tuesday, April 2 at noon in War Memorial Hall.
The celebratory service will be conducted by human anatomy professor Francine Pilon, with assistance from Rev. Lucy Reid, ecumenical campus minister and students from human anatomy classes. The event will include readings, musical performances, poetry and personal reelections.
In addition, a memorial tree has been planted in the University of Guelph Arboretum, funded by the Department of Human Biology and Nutritional Sciences, the Human Kinetics and Human Biology Alumni Association and the students of the human anatomy class of 2001/2002.
