University Wins Legacy Award

The University of Guelph has won a national award for its original 1965 campus master plan.

The Canadian Society of Landscape Architects named U of G as the winner or its 2017 Legacy Project Award. It recognizes landscape architecture projects that were forward-thinking for their time and had a lasting impact on Canada’s landscape.

The University’s original master plan emphasized social spaces while respecting history and nature. It has been revised over the years to accommodate growth and changes.
