About

Alexia is passionate about dietetic education and training and is the coordinator of the Master of Applied Nutrition (MAN) program. The MAN program is a unique one-year professional master's program for students who want to become registered dietitians. Prior to working in FRAN, Alexia was the information officer at the Canadian Produce Marketing Association and an lecturer at St. Francis Xavier University for four years.

She is a registered dietitian and member of Dietitians of Canada. Alexia's interest in simulation to support student competency development has resulted in the integration of simulated clients into the MAN curriculum and in a research collaboration with university colleagues. In addition to her role as MAN coordinator, Alexia is also the academic advisor for students in the Applied Human Nutrition major, the coordinator and instructor for the 4th year field experience course (NUTR*4850) and the facilitator for the MAN practicum seminars.
