Award Description

E.D. Smith Scholarhsip in Foodservice Administration

Offered by E.D. Smith and Sons Ltd., a multi-faceted processor of foods. Preference will be given to a student enrolled in the Institutional Foodservice Management (I.F.M.) major. Apply to HAFA Awards Committee by January 31 including a resume and statement of interest in the foodservice industry.

Qualifications: Student who has demonstrated an interest in the foodservice industry, has maintained a minimum of B average and has completed 15 to 20 courses of a major offered by the School of Hotel and Food Administration. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of interest in foodservice operations and academic standing. Interest in the foodservice industry can be demonstrated by work experience or active membership in Canadian Food Service Executives Association (C.F.S.E.A.)

Amount: Annual scholarship of $1000.
