Course Description

35-150 Introduction to Film S,F(2-3)

A study of films from a variety of periods and places, this course aims to introduce the basic components of film language and to promote the understanding of film as an art form. Through the viewing and analysis of selected films key concepts such as photography, editing and movement will be explored, as will matters such as style, authorship, and genre. (Offered in Spring semester of even-numbered years.)
