Section description and interpretation followed by principles of physical correlation and facies interpretation. Concepts of physical, biological and radiometric dating. Controls on stratigraphic sequence development - isostasy, eustasy and tectonics. Sedimentary basin development and interpretation. (Offered in even-numbered years.)
