49-405 Scotland in the Age of Emigration, 1775-1914 W(3-0). (H)

A seminar course dealing with aspects of Scottish social, economic and political history, including the movement of the Scottish people throughout the world, during the 19th-century. The seminars will be based upon an examination of primary sources as well as secondary literature.

Prerequisites: 49-353.
