IV--Admission Information

Co-operative Education Program

Students will be considered for admission to semester 1 of the Co-operative Education program in the following programs upon completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, including 6 Ontario Academic Credits, or equivalent: B.A., B.A.Sc., B.Comm., B.Sc., B.Sc.(Eng.). Students wishing to enrol in Co-operative Education in the B.Sc.(Env.) program must have completed the common first year (i.e. semester 2) before entering Co-op. Interested students are advised to consult with the B.Sc.(Env.) program counsellor for information on application and admission to Co-operative Education. Normally, an overall average of 70% on 6 Ontario Academic Course credits is the minimum required for consideration, but higher averages may be required for admission to individual programs where the demand for places by qualified applicants exceeds the supply of places available in those programs. Applicants to the Co-operative Education programs must have Permanent Resident status in Canada or be Canadian citizens

Specific Ontario Academic Course credit requirements for admission to the various degree programs are outlined following this section. In some cases, applicants may be required to submit a Background Information Sheet in support of their application. If a Background Information Sheet is required, the Admissions Section will forward the form directly to the applicant upon receipt of the application. Applicants who are refused admission to Co-operative Education will be considered for admission to the comparable regular degree program.
