Students in either program may take the co-op option. Students do not begin their first work term until they have completed semester 3 and course 65-100. At least 3 work terms are required in the co-op program, and the course requirements are the same as shown above for the specialized honours or the major programs. Some courses must be taken during a different semester than usual, and co-op students may require an additional semester to meet all the program requirements. Students should plan their programs in consultation with the microbiology academic advisor and/or co-op advisor. Example schedules are available from the co-op advisor.
