Student Profile (SP)

For High School Applicants to Semester One Only

Admission to the University of Guelph-Humber is primarily based on academic performance. However, we recognize there may be other factors you wish to bring to our attention during the admission process. In looking at the whole student, we are also interested in leadership and citizenship qualities. The Student Profile Form (SPF) is your opportunity to tell Admission Services about activities that have enhanced your learning and how these experiences may help you as a student at the University of Guelph. Factors beyond your control that have negatively impacted your academic performance, such as illness or extenuating circumstances, may also be considered.

No medical or psycho-educational assessment documentation is required.

Confidentiality: Personal information is collected under the authority of the University of Guelph Act (1964), and in accordance with Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). This information is used by Admission Services and will be used for admission purposes only. Questions about this collection of personal information should be directed to Admission Services at admissions@guelphhumber.ca.

How the SPF is used: SPF submissions are considered in the final round of offers. If your admission average in May does not meet the cut-off for the program(s) to which you have applied, your SPF may be considered if your average falls within a discretionary range of the final cut-off (range varies by program and will not be more than 5%). SPF submissions are used for admission purposes only; not for fulfilling conditions.

For high school students outside of Canada who are not following Ontario (OSSD) curriculum: as applications are assessed on a rolling basis, you are encouraged to submit the SP at the time of application if you feel that you have experienced challenges or extenuating factors that have negatively impacted your grades. Consideration of the SP is at the discretion of Admission Services.

Disclaimer: Submitting the SPF does not guarantee admission.
