Description
Office of Research Services (ORS) in partnership with the NSERC-eligible Colleges are pleased to offer an opportunity to connect with University of Guelph NSERC Discovery Grant Evaluation Group (EG) members in a virtual, small-group session.
This session is for UG faculty members who are intending to apply to the upcoming NSERC Discovery Grant competition [3], including faculty who will be submitting an application for the first time, re-applying after an unsuccessful round, or 'renewing' their current grant.
This session is meant to complement NSERC's Discovery-specific on-demand webinars [4]. ORS will provide introductory information on the application sections and deadlines to be aware of for the upcoming 2021/22 competition cycle, while UG EG members will provide an overview of the top tips/tricks for success and roundtable Q&A for your specific EG. These targeted break-out sessions will also allow you to connect with other researchers in your EG and internal resources from ORS and your College.
Agenda:
10:00 am: ORS Overview of Key Dates and Application Sections/Considerations
10:15 am: EG-Specific Q&A Break-Out
For questions related to the NSERC Discovery Grant program, please connect with the following internal supports:
Carolyn Osborn, Senior Grants & Contracts Manager, Office of Research Services, cosborn@uoguelph.ca [6].
