Description
Breast Cancer Canada, in partnership with AstraZeneca Canada, is now accepting applications for two matched research awards focused on improving breast cancer survivorship care across Canada.
This funding supports innovative, Canadian-led research that addresses critical gaps following primary treatment, with an emphasis on real-world impact and improved patient outcomes.
Research priority areas:
- Survivorship surveillance and diagnostics
- Therapeutic interventions in post-treatment care
- New care delivery models that improve transitions between community and specialty services
Eligibility
Applicant must be a Principal investigator holding an academic position at a Canadian University, Hospital or Healthcare centre; who will conduct and maintain the project and data discovery within Canada.
Project is led by a clinician or translational researcher; the research team must include:
- One clinical expert in breast cancer
- At minimum one breast cancer patient advocate or a local breast cancer advocacy group
- LOI criteria listed above
