Scholarship Information (External): Fessenden-Trott Scholarship

The Fessenden-Trott Scholarships were established in memory of Professor Reginald Aubrey Fessenden and his wife Helen May Trott. Throughout his career Professor Fessenden was the Headmaster of Whitney Institute in Bermuda, the Chair of Electrical Engineering at both Purdue University and the University of Pittsburgh and a renowned inventor of electrical and radio equipment (including the earliest radio telephone in 1900).

The program is administered by Universities Canada [1]. It rotates between universities from specific provinces each year. Please refer to information on the Universities Canada [1] website for further information.

Additionally each university may only nominate ONE candidate in a year when this scholarship is available in their province. For years that the scholarship is available in Ontario please contact Awards in Student Financial Services [2] for information about the internal process to determine competition for a nomination from the University of Guelph.
