Position Description:

The Department of Clinical Studies, Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), is seeking applications to fill a 4-year contractually limited faculty position in Diagnostic Imaging at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent degree, must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in the Province of Ontario, and should be a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or eligible for the ACVR certification examination. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in clinical diagnostic imaging and outstanding teaching and communication skills. Preference will be given to individuals with an advanced degree.

The successful candidate will work with three other radiologists to provide didactic and clinical instruction in Diagnostic Imaging and related disciplines to undergraduates, interns, residents and graduate students. Service activities will include the management of patients and consultation in the OVC-Health Sciences Centre and limited administrative activities. Research of a collaborative nature consistent with the research goals of the Department and College is expected.

The Department of Clinical Studies offers state of the art diagnostic equipment including but not limited to a 1.5 Tesla high field General Electric MRI, CT scanner, digital radiology, PACS system, state of the art ultrasonography, scintigraphy, gait analysis area for kinetics and kinematic work, and more, all of which is supported by faculty and staff committed to delivering the very best of patient care.
