Position Description:

The College of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies. We are interested in candidates with expertise in marketing modelling. Preference will be given to anyone with expertise in quantitative marketing modeling. Applicants should have (or be near completion of) a Ph.D. in Marketing or in a related field. The appointment start date is flexible.

This position will be responsible for teaching (at the undergraduate and at the graduate levels), pursuing scholarly research, and service. In terms of teaching, preference will be given to those who have teaching experience or interested to teach in one or more of the following areas: marketing strategy, marketing research, marketing analytics and quantitative marketing methods. Willingness to advise M.Sc. or Ph.D. students (or experience in this area) is also preferred.

The Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies is in the University’s College of Management and Economics ( www.uoguelph.ca/cbe/ ). We offer two Bachelor of Commerce majors, one in Marketing Management and one in Real Estate and Housing. At the graduate level, we offer a Ph.D. in Management with a concentration in Marketing, a Master of Science in Marketing and Consumer Studies, and a Graduate Diploma in Market Research.
