On July 22, candidates for the position of Guelph-Humber vice-provost (chief academic officer) each gave a public lecture at Guelph-Humber to share their visions for the future of the institution and fielded questions from the audience. Videotapes of the event are available from the provost's office, Room 414 University Centre.

As part of the search process, the vice-provost search committee for the University of Guelph-Humber invites written comments to be sent to Michael Hatton, vice-president (academic), Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning or Maureen Mancuso, provost and vice-president (academic), University of Guelph by Friday, July 29th. All comments are confidential.

The candidates are:


  • Pam Hanft, Associate Vice-President, Professional Development and Dean, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning.

  • Hilary Horan, Professor and Associate Vice-President, Student Affairs, University of Regina.

  • John McKendry, Vice-President, Douglas College.

  • John Walsh, Professor, School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Guelph.
