Winter Weather Policy

December 15, 2005 - Campus Bulletin

When a winter storm hits and you need to know if the University is open before setting off for school or work, the best information sources are the local media and U of G’s website.

If the president decides to close the University because of bad weather or an emergency before normal business hours, every effort will be made to communicate that decision by 7 a.m.

Radio and television stations in Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo and Toronto will be notified of the closure. U of G's home page will contain up-to-date information on the weather situation and will be updated regularly as required. The campus switchboard will also have a recorded message.
