1) Collect into a leakproof sterile container. 2) Swab and place into bacterial transport medium. 1+2) Refrigerate immediately.

Additional Information

Includes culture of Salmonella spp. and Clostridium perfringens and detection of C. perfringens enterotoxin by ELISA. Susceptibility testing is not included. If a swab is submitted, the detection of C. perfringens enterotoxin by ELISA will only be completed if C. perfringens is isolated.
