Ship in insulated container with freezer packs.

Collection Protocol

Collect blood into a red-top vacutainer; avoid hemolysis. Separate serum from cells as soon as possible following collection and transfer to a leakproof tube. Refrigerate until shipped.

Additional Information

The foal IgG-CITE ELISA semi-quantitatively detects IgG in serum, plasma, or whole blood. Calibrator spots corresponding to 400 mg/dL and 800 mg/dL of IgG are used to interpret the colour intensity resulting from application of the patient sample to the snap ELISA device.
