Hongde Zhou

Education and Employment Background 

Dr. Hongde Zhou received his PhD from the University of Alberta in 1995. Between 1997 and 1999 he held a position as an Assistant Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Zhou joined the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph in 1999 where he is now a full Professor.


Research Themes 

Zhou’s research focuses on membrane Bioreactor Processes for wastewater Treatment, hybrid membrane technologies for NOM removal, ozonation and advanced oxidation Processes, agricultural waste management, manure anaerobic digestion, wastewater reuse and water disinfection.
